CLOSING DATE FOR SALE OF MMP EXTENDED

Dover Motorsports Inc. has agreed to extend the closing date of the sale of Memphis Motorsports Park as Gulf Coast Entertainment. L L. C. continues to seek financing.

“While we were not able to close the transaction on the timing previously announced, the parties are completing an extension for a revised closing date,” said Dover Motorsports Executive Vice President Michael Tatoian in a statement. “We remain optimistic that this transaction will close and look forward to continuing to work with GCE and their plans for continuing operations in Memphis and developing a fantastic project in Alabama.”

Gulf Coast Entertainment, L.L.C. plans to build a motorsports complex that will feature three racing venues which will accommodate many forms of racing on its oval, road course and karting facilities.  In addition, the project will include commercial enterprises including residential, hospitality, retail, restaurants and location based entertainment.  Located in Mobile County, the complex is expected to be fully operational in 2011.  For more information log on to www.alabamamotorsportspark.com.
